"2018 CHEVY SILVERADO TRANSMISSION - PLEASE READ:
I bought one used with just over 129,000 miles. Dealership (Doug at Fred Haas Toyota in Spring) was up front with me and told me there seemed to be an issue with the transmission jerking. I loved the truck though and considering the horror stories around the 2015 to 2019 Silverado transmissions....I told Doug that for the right drop in price....I would take it. Doug (this was my 2nd purchase from him) made the deal happen! My very next step was the most important....I reached out to Mr. Jim. After explaining to him what was happening, he gave my a thorough explanation about all he and his team had found out about the common transmission issues with these Silverado trucks. Turns out that a simple transmission fluid exchange is the secret weapon! For less than $500 (WELL SHORT of the discount Doug got me) Mr. Jim and his team had the truck running like new! He told me after driving it up to 200 miles I should feel no issues. He was spot on! I could feel the jerk/lurch less and less until it was completely gone! DON'T spend money on a new torque converter or transmission! Just get your Silverado to Family Auto & Transmission. You will not be disappointed!"
