"Family Auto & Transmission is fair, honest, thoroughly knowledgeable and customer oriented! Jim not only owns and performs the repairs, he understands all makes and models of transmissions and is a rare expert in this field. He is able to inspect, diagnose and resolve any issues with transmissions! I have a 2003 Chevy Suburban that appeared to be slightly leaking fluid, potentially needed a tune up and I also had questions about the condition of the transmission, since it was a rebuilt that (unfortunately) a different company had installed. Jim was able to thoroughly inspect the transmission & torque converter and able to diagnose issues and provide solutions. Other shops seem to be just "transmission swappers" because they don't understand the true craftsmanship of repairing existing transmissions, charging customers THOUSANDS of dollars, just to make a buck! Jim is able to provide customers very detailed information about causes of issues with transmissions and also provides detailed repair options with the interest of saving the customer thousands of dollars. Overall, Family Auto & Transmission deserves two BIG thumbs up and your business! It is rare to find a mechanic/shop that actually understands their trade and also provides excellent service and prices! If you have any issues with your vehicle's transmission, take it to Jim, because he is an expert mechanic for a VERY fair price. *I own several cars and will be a lifetime customer of Family Auto & Transmission!"
